Max Verstappen maintained a steady second-place position throughout the race, steering clear of on-track conflicts to minimize the championship points loss. Meanwhile, Oscar Piastri delivered a stellar performance, battling through a challenging start to secure third place by overtaking both Mercedes drivers, confirming his reputation as the best driver over the last eight races.
McLaren’s strong performance extends to the constructors’ championship, where they now lead by 41 points. In contrast, Red Bull and Ferrari encountered difficulties, with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz underperforming and Sergio Pérez managing only a points finish.
